Academics

Primary

Seven years from P1 to P7, building the reading, writing, mathematics and habits of mind that every later success depends on.

The primary curriculum

We follow the Ugandan primary curriculum and examine pupils through the Primary Leaving Examination in P7.

  • Lower primary (P1 to P3)

Thematic curriculum with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. Reading is taught daily through phonics and guided reading.

  • Upper primary (P4 to P7)

English, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies, taught by subject specialists from P5.

  • Beyond the syllabus

Computing from P1, French and Kiswahili from P4, weekly library lessons and a science fair project every year.

  • PLE preparation

Structured revision, past papers and mock examinations through P7, with individual tracking for every candidate.

Pastoral care

Every pupil is known.

Each class has a class teacher who is the first point of contact for parents, and every pupil belongs to one of four houses that compete, celebrate and look after each other across the year.
